TNI welcomes the premier nanotechnology conference in the world to Texas, presented by Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI), May 3 - 7, 2009 in Houston, Texas. Please visit www.nsti.org/nanotech2009/ for more information.
Read the Welcome
Letter from TNI President Kelly Kordzik.
Read Nano-Hype by David M. Berube, and reviewed by TNI President
Kelly Kordzik:
"Dr. Berube has done an excellent job of describing
the people and organizations behind the nanotechnology revolution. This
book is a must read for anyone wishing to invest in nanotechnology or
manage a nanotech company. Many years from now, when nanotechnology has
permeated every aspect of our lives, Dr. Berube's book will still be referred
to for telling how it all got started."

| NANOTECHNOLOGY COMMUNITY REMEMBERS SCIENTIST RICHARD SMALLEY |
| |
| Professor Richard Smalley, a gifted chemist who shared
a Nobel Prize for the discovery of buckyballs, helped pioneer the
field of nanotechnology and became one of the world's most notable
nanoscientist died last year after a six-year struggle with cancer.
In the decade since he became a Nobel Laureate, Professor Smalley
pushed Rice University , the Houston community, and Texas to the forefront
of nanotechnology research. As a respected science leader, mentor,
and friend, Professor Smalley greatly influenced many members of the
Texas Nanotechnology Initiative. We extend our heartfelt condolences
to the family and friends of Professor Smalley.
